Bilingual Clinical Social Worker
This position works with adults with serious and persistent mental disabilities living in Contra Costa County, who are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness to help them find stability in the community. This position involves home visits, field work, linkage to and coordination of services, therapeutic interventions, and building independent living skills to help clients live in the community.
This program is based on a consumer driven, culturally competent, wellness and recovery model.
The Clinical Social Worker provides primary support for clients; facilitates the care plan for each client; provides clinical and case management services, and coordinates other services necessary to support the client to achieve the goals of their plan and maintain stability in the community, using clinical and case management skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Background in mental health; Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university required, and at least 1 year of mental health or social services experience; Registered intern or associate with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or able to obtain registered status within first 2 months after hire as ASW, AMFT, or APCC. Bilingual in Spanish required, interest in and sensitivity to people from a multiplicity of backgrounds, sensitivity to the cultures and needs of the Latino community, knowledge of the Contra Costa County Mental Health system and resources, good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, computer skills (Word, Outlook), and current driver's license.
Compensation: dependent on experience plus on-call pay.
