The inpatient facility specializes in caring for adults with dementia and other neurocognitive disorders, maintaining a census of 16 residents. The facility provides comprehensive care for residents with complex behavioral needs, including those with prior significant inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and primary or secondary psychiatric diagnoses.

The psychologist will develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans for adults with dementia and neurocognitive disorders who often present with co-occurring severe mental illness and resolved forensic histories. Primary responsibilities include providing behavioral interventions on the Skilled Nursing Unit, training nursing and direct care staff on BSP implementation, and consulting with the interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers. The clinician will participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and conduct behavioral assessments to address maladaptive behaviors such as aggression, combativeness, and difficulties with activities of daily living.
