The correctional facility requires coverage from a Licensed Professional Counselor to support mental health services. The facility serves a maximum-security inmate population with diverse mental health needs. The assignment is expected to last 6 months initially and covers one full-time position.
This Wisconsin region offers diverse attractions including visitor centers, water parks, and various state parks for outdoor recreation. The area features family-friendly activities, craft breweries, scenic outdoor adventures, and opportunities for winter activities at ski areas. Visitors can enjoy sporting events and explore educational centers throughout the region.
The clinician will provide comprehensive mental health services working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include conducting intake evaluations, providing supportive therapy, crisis intervention, and suicide watch placement and removal decisions. The clinician will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and conduct sessions primarily in office settings with occasional cell-side interviews and rounds. Strong skills in general supportive therapy and crisis work are required, with experience in evidence-based practices preferred.
