Unit size: 20 beds
Patients per day: 8–10 inpatients + 1–5 consults
Coverage: Shared with another psychiatric provider each day
Admissions: 1–3 per day, divided between providers
Patient Population: Full scope of community residents
Support: Works with other inpatient behavioral health clinicians; hospitalist manages most medical issues, psychiatrist handles uncomplicated medical issues (UTI, lice, etc.)
Court Testimony: Required if expert witness is on vacation
EMR: EPIC
Requirements:
Board Certification: Required
License: WA licensed candidate or IMLC
Certifications: As required by MSO
