Job description

A medical center for behavioral health unit is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens Telehealth coverage.
The facility is located in the US Virgin Islands.
The psychiatrist will be responsible for an 8-bed unit. The census is normally 5-6. The patients are primarily adults, but must be comfortable seeing all ages in the event a child is admitted. The psychiatrist will round in the morning and will need to be available for consults and the floor and in the ED. There are usually 1-2 consults on the ED per day. The psychiatrist will be responsible for admissions, discharges, and H&Ps. The facility needs someone to work a 14 on 14 off schedule or two providers looking to work 1 week per month. Credentialing can be completed in 1-2 weeks.
