DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on leading our treatment teams that support patient recovery by providing comprehensive psychiatric care. Your work strengthens the quality of services provided within the hospital. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will perform the following duties:
Psychiatric Assessment: Conduct formal psychiatric evaluations and review diagnoses for all assigned patients
Medication Management: Review medications regularly and adjust treatment plans to ensure proper psychopharmacological care
Team Leadership: Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team, as well as direct the development and implementation of individual treatment plans
Care Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately and in accordance with hospital and departmental standards
Case Review: Present complex cases for consultation and participate in performance improvement activities
Family and Agency Contact: Maintain communication with families, patient advocates, and outside agencies as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
You may be on-call during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overtime and travel as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirements:
You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
