This ACT facility in central North Carolina delivers community-based psychiatric services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness through the Assertive Community Treatment model. The facility maintains a multidisciplinary ACT team to support the delivery of intensive, mobile psychiatric services directly in community settings.
North Carolina offers a range of natural and cultural attractions suited to diverse interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore destinations such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, scenic waterfalls, the North Carolina Arboretum, and the Outer Banks beaches, as well as the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and the state's auto racing heritage museums. Aquariums, nature and wildlife tours, and additional regional landmarks provide year-round recreational and cultural options throughout the state.
Clinicians in this role will provide part-time outpatient psychiatric services for adults ages 18 and up within an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) model, working 16 hours per week during day shifts on-site. The typical day begins with a team meeting from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM to review patients, followed by community visits to deliver psychiatric care in non-traditional settings. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for adults presenting primarily with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. No call coverage is required for this assignment, and prescriptive authority is required.
