Position Overview & Clinical Scope
A long-standing behavioral health system in the Capital Region of New York is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist for immediate placement. Operating within a hospital-based outpatient mental health clinic, the psychiatrist will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including counselors, therapists, case managers, and nurse practitioners—to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication management to adult patients.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements
Licensure & Board Certification:
Board Status: Board Certified (BC) or Truly Board Eligible (BE) in Psychiatry [REQUIRED]. Candidates with lapsed board certifications will not be accepted.
State Licensure: Active New York Medical License or willingness to obtain [REQUIRED].
Federal Credentials: Active DEA Registration obtained prior to start date [REQUIRED].
Clinical History: Clean malpractice background [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
Documentation & Candidate Eligibility Rules:
NPDB Report: Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report active within the last 30 days [REQUIRED AT PRESENTATION; NO EXCEPTIONS].
Visa Candidates: Visa support is NOT available.
Employment Type: Locums candidates will NOT be accepted.
Geographic Constraint: Local candidates residing within 30 miles of the healthcare network facilities cannot be cleared/considered.
Direct Applicant & Fee Rules: Candidates who have applied directly to the network are ineligible for agency onboarding. Agency/candidate is responsible for credentialing costs (no network reimbursement).
Compensation & Full Permanent Benefits Package
Base Salary Range: $318,449 – $354,957 annually (commensurate with experience).
Bonuses: $25,000 Starting Bonus + $30,000 Retention Bonus, plus generous productivity and quality incentive structures.
Relocation & Loan Repayment: Relocation assistance available; eligible for federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
