Opportunity: Seeking a visionary and dedicated Program Director to lead innovative, community-based training program based in Brooklyn.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Compliance

  • Provide oversight to ensure full compliance with ACGME and Residency Review Committee (RRC) standards.
  • Interface with the FHC Designated Institutional Official (DIO), FHC Graduate Medical Education (GME) leadership, and NYU Grossman School of Medicine GME Committees.
  • Develop and maintain program policies, accreditation documents, and annual program evaluations.
Curriculum and Training
  • Provide operational oversight for all educational components, including clinical rotations, didactics, assessment, advising, psychotherapy training, research, and scholarly activity.
  • Ensure residents’ experiences reflect a comprehensive, community psychiatry–focused curriculum, with exposure to inpatient, outpatient, consult-liaison, addiction, child/adolescent, and integrated care settings.
  • Lead innovations in psychotherapy training, community psychiatry education, and novel care delivery models.
Resident Development and Well-Being
  • Oversee resident recruitment, selection, orientation, advising, and evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME requirements for duty hours, supervision, and competency-based assessment.
  • Foster a culture of well-being, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring psychological safety and equitable opportunities for all trainees.
Scholarship and Innovation
  • Create and implement high-quality educational programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship in resident scholarship, including publications, presentations, and quality improvement projects.
  • Serve as a national leader for innovative training models in psychiatric education, positioning the program at the forefront of academic psychiatry.
Clinical and Administrative Integration
  • Coordinate with clinical leadership across FHC and affiliate training sites to align residency training with service needs.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision of residents in outpatient psychiatry settings, modeling excellence in patient care and teaching.
  • Lead long-term strategic planning for graduate medical education, ensuring program sustainability and growth.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical education, curriculum design, and program leadership.
  • Strong record of clinical excellence, teaching, and scholarly activity.
  • Commitment to community psychiatry, health equity, and training diverse physician leaders.

Compensation: Starting salary of $282,250 with opportunities to earn additional $32,000 in incentive compensation. Comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, retirement fund, and more.
