The psychiatrist will direct psychiatric services in accordance with institutional policies, utilizing advanced clinical training and professional judgment to guide diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and patient care decisions. This position serves as the final authority on psychiatric evaluations while overseeing program planning and reviewing clinical recommendations. The clinician will work part-time for 24 hours per week during day shifts, conducting weekly rounds on a 24-bed inpatient unit and managing complex mental health cases requiring advanced diagnosis and stabilization. Responsibilities include contributing to departmental strategy and agency-wide policy through research and program evaluation while maintaining comprehensive documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
