This facility operates a Full Service Partnership program delivering the most intensive tier of community mental health care for adults living with serious mental illness. Services are provided through a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatry, nursing, case management, and peer support, with care delivered directly in clients' homes and communities across a high-desert region of Southern California. The program follows a field-based, recovery-oriented model designed to serve adults who are homeless, justice-involved, or high utilizers of crisis and hospital services.
Lancaster, California is situated in the Antelope Valley and offers a range of dining and recreational options suited to diverse interests. The area features international cuisines and farm-to-table dining, as well as outdoor recreation at the nearby Angeles National Forest, where visitors can hike, camp, and observe wildlife. Apollo Community Regional Park provides space for picnicking, sports, and lakeside walks, while Lancaster Western Town presents a recreated Old West setting with period-style streets and reenactments.
Clinicians in this role will provide full-time outpatient psychiatric services for an adult population presenting with serious mental illness (SMI), working 40 hours per week on a day shift schedule structured as five 8-hour days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) or four 10-hour days (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM) on-site in Lancaster, California. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations (60 minutes per initial evaluation) and providing medication management follow-up visits (30 minutes per visit) for adults navigating SMI, many of whom are experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, or high utilization of crisis and hospital services. Care is delivered directly in clients' homes and communities across the region as part of a field-based, recovery-oriented multidisciplinary team. Credentialing is estimated to take 4 to 6 weeks, and call coverage is negotiable for this assignment.
