Mederva Health is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to serve as a Psychiatric Consultant for our growing Collaborative Care program.
This is a remote, part-time consulting role with no direct patient care and no prescribing. You’ll provide psychiatric expertise through asynchronous chart review and weekly consultation with our behavioral health team, helping PCPs manage patients who need additional psychiatric guidance.
The role is ideal for a psychiatrist who wants to expand access to psychiatric care at scale without adding another traditional clinical panel.
The role is also ideal for psychiatrists interested in health tech and startup opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Review flagged CoCM patients and provide documented psychiatric recommendations
- Advise PCPs and our behavioral health team on diagnosis, medications, treatment strategy, and safety planning
- Help identify patients who are not improving or have complex presentations such as PTSD, addiction, mood disorders, or elevated suicide risk
- Participate in weekly case consultation/office hours
- Recommend escalation to outpatient psychiatry, psychotherapy, or higher levels of care when appropriate
- Provide occasional input on clinical protocols and program quality
WHAT YOU WON'T DO
- No direct patient visits
- No prescribing or medication management
- No longitudinal psychiatric panel
REQUIREMENTS
- Board-certified in psychiatry
- Active licenses in 5+ states
- Strong preference for psychiatrists licensed in 10+ states
- Especially interested in candidates licensed in Hawaii, South Carolina, and/or Arkansas
- Collaborative Care experience is a plus
