Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage at a Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital in Tuskegee, Alabama. This is a full-time opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule, light call responsibilities, and competitive compensation.

Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Rotating light night call
Telephonic overnight call coverage
Average 0–2 calls per night
Call-back compensation provided separately
Compensation
$210–$225/hour
Additional hourly compensation for any call-back hours worked

Responsibilities
Provide inpatient psychiatric care for veterans
Manage an average daily census of 12–14 patients
Participate in a rotating call schedule
Provide telephonic overnight call coverage
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in CPRS EMR
Support coverage needs for affiliated VA facilities as required

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state accepted)
BLS Certification
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Clinical practice experience within the last 6 months
Experience with CPRS EMR preferred
