📍 Alabama VA – Psychiatry Coverage Needed

Onsite | Full-Time | Inpatient + Outpatient

🕒 Schedule

Clinic Hours:

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

On-Call Schedule:

Prepared monthly (within 5 days of the end of each month)

Call split – TBD / to be confirmed

Call Coverage:

Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Friday–Monday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM

Holidays: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

🏥 Clinical Responsibilities
Inpatient Duties (including but not limited to):

Admitting patients

Covering 1C/1D Psychiatry Service (Ward patients)

Diagnosing psychiatric conditions

Treatment planning

Discharge and transfer coordination

Reviewing and seeing all new patient referrals (with medical records)

Evaluating mentally ill patients

E-consult evaluation and disposition

Post-discharge follow-up

Patients must be seen by a provider within 30 days

Outpatient Duties:

General psychiatric care

Evaluations

Medication management

Follow-up appointments

👥 Patient Volume

1–2 patients per hour

Approximately:

6 one-hour appointments OR

12 half-hour appointments per day (case dependent)

• VA- Any State License Accepted
• 6 months
• general psy, gender dysmorphia, bipolar, ADD, depression
