The psychiatric nurse practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management for adult forensic patients in a county jail setting. Clinical duties include performing 30-minute initial evaluations and 15-minute medication checks while managing approximately 8-10 patients per day in the outpatient correctional environment. The clinician will work part-time for 16 hours per week across 2-3 flexible days, collaborating with correctional staff and nursing personnel to ensure coordinated care delivery. Documentation responsibilities include maintaining detailed patient records using electronic systems while providing specialized psychiatric treatment for inmates requiring mental health services.
