The psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive acute psychiatric care for children and adolescents in a 16-bed acute psychiatric stabilization unit during full-time day shifts. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and providing daily psychiatric follow-ups for patients with mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and suicidal ideation. The clinician will assist with approximately one admission and one discharge per day, complete initial psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. The position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including the Medical Director, Psychiatry Resident, therapists, case management, and program leadership in a supportive team-based care model focused on acute stabilization and crisis intervention.
