Clinical Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families' (DCF) mission is:  
Partnering with communities and empowering families to raise resilient children who thrive; sharpening the safety focus through prevention across the child welfare system. 
 
As the Clinical Administrator (Health Management Administrator) you will provide oversight of our clinical services across the 14 area offices which is key to successfully delivering treatment interventions to the children and families we serve. The Clinical Administrator will be responsible for the administration and supervision of multiple programs, services and consultations essential to fulfilling our commitment to meeting the behavioral health needs of children and their families.  
 
The ideal candidate will possess: 
A clinical license. 
Skills in comprehensive clinical assessments of individuals, families and groups. Taking into consideration cultural, social, economic, medical, environmental and legal issue. 
A demonstrated knowledge of the DCF organizational structure and relationship between child welfare and the Department's contracted provider network. 
Extensive clinical experience in various settings and with diverse populations. 
Experience communicating in writing and verbally to diverse populations and skill levels. 
Extensive supervisory and strategic planning skills. 
Experience prioritizing work and meeting time sensitive deadlines.
