Vice President of Institutional Advancement

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH  JOB DESCRIPTION

The Vice President of Institutional Advancement leads CORA Services' fundraising efforts. You will report to the President and CEO and is a member of the executive leadership team. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing all fundraising and advancement initiatives, including events, foundation grants and corporate sponsorship. You will work closely with CORA's CEO, Board of Directors, and CORA's leadership teams on a broad range of strategic and fundraising activities. 
 
You will build and lead CORA's upcoming campaign to raise support for capital improvements and an exciting new project. This position has one direct report, with the option to hire another, as well as the support of an outside fundraising firm. 
 
Qualifications: 
 
Commitment to CORA's mission and values 
A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in a related field is preferred 
7- 10 years' experience in fund development with at least 5 years management experience preferred 
Familiarity with the Philadelphia-area philanthropic community is preferred 
Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising including personal solicitation of major gifts 
Outstanding management skills and an ability to motivate, coordinate, and incentivize staff/volunteers 
Demonstrated expertise in building and leading a strategic, data-driven fund development function 
Demonstrated expertise in planning and implementation of donor cultivation and fund development efforts that expand reach and impact 
Possess an outcome-driven approach to fundraising and management 
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 
Flexible self-motivated team player who can partner with colleagues across the organization in identifying fundraising opportunities and strategies 
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
