As an Adult Psychiatrist, you'll work with complex mental health cases and play an active role in forensic assessments, multidisciplinary team care, and the use of advanced pharmacologic treatments.

Key Responsibilities
βοΈ Manage treatment-resistant schizophrenia using clozapine, including ANC monitoring and titration protocols
βοΈ Treat severe mood disorders (bipolar, major depression) in outpatient and acute care settings
βοΈ Lead biweekly multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate care for high utilizers of psychiatric emergency services
βοΈ Conduct capacity evaluations under California Welfare & Institutions Code 5150/5250 for gravely disabled patients
βοΈ Administer long-acting injectables (e.g., aripiprazole monthly, paliperidone palmitate) for patients with medication non-adherence
βοΈ Provide forensic support including LPS Act evaluations and conservatorship hearing testimony

What Weβre Looking For
βοΈ Active California Medical License (in good standing)
βοΈ ABPN Certification in General Psychiatry (or Board Eligible)
βοΈ DEA Certification, including eligibility to prescribe antipsychotics and LAIs

Full-Time (FTE)

βοΈ 6-hour shifts (e.g., 8:00 a.m. β 3:00 p.m., excluding breaks)
