Geriatric Psychiatry

Job ID: NYPMHNP1

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) — Long Island, NY

Job description

The Role
You'll be the lead provider for our Long Island launch — performing initial psychiatric evaluations, managing an ongoing med management panel, and identifying candidates for interventional treatments (TMS and Spravato®). Care is delivered on-site at our partner communities with dedicated clinical space, supported by our MA/tech team, scheduler, and centralized billing — so you practice, and we handle everything else.

What You'll Do

Perform comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations for residents of our partner communities
Manage ongoing medication management with a biweekly follow-up cadence
Evaluate and refer candidates for TMS and Spravato® treatment; oversee treatment courses per protocol
Collaborate with a supervising/collaborating physician (virtual intake attendance, chart review) and our board-certified neurologists and psychiatrists
Document in our EHR with structured templates built for efficiency
Coordinate with facility nursing teams and communicate with families as needed

What We're Looking For

Active New York PMHNP license and national board certification (PMHNC-BC)
Active DEA registration (or eligibility)
Experience with geriatric, long-term care, or higher-acuity psychiatric populations strongly preferred
Comfort working independently on-site with remote clinical and administrative support
Experience with TMS or Spravato® a plus — training provided
Compassion, reliability, and strong communication with residents, families, and facility staff
