Forensic Psychiatry
Job ID: ORD-216638-MD-NY
This forensic outpatient clinic provides specialized psychiatric services to a forensic population with varied diagnostic needs. An Intermediate Care Program (ICP) is available on-site for significantly mentally ill patients, offering structured daily programming.
New York offers a range of activities to suit varied interests, from outdoor pursuits such as fishing on Lake Erie, camping and biking in Allegany State Park, and mountain coaster rides at Holiday Valley, to urban landmarks including Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. The state also features live music venues, brewing companies with events, and a variety of free public programming including concerts, films, tours, and lectures.
Clinicians will provide individual callouts to a forensic outpatient population with variable diagnostic complexity, working 2-3 eight-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with specific days to be determined during the interview process. The role requires collaboration with DOCCS medical staff and attendance at bimonthly Joint medical meetings, as well as self-sufficiency in administrative tasks typically performed by support staff. The facility includes an Intermediate Care Program (ICP) serving significantly mentally ill patients who receive four hours of programming per day. Clinicians must be prepared to conduct assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) and treatment over objection evaluations and testimony on an as-needed basis.
Our services are 100% free for clinicians and are designed for a seamless experience with every assignment:
