Mental Health Therapist – Yanceyville, NC (Boys Residential Program)

As part of our dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide trauma-informed, evidence-based care that helps young men heal, grow, and build a stronger future. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote), $72,300 annual salary, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
What You’ll Do
-Deliver individual and group therapy to youth with trauma, behavioral, or substance use challenges.
-Facilitate comprehensive clinical assessments, trauma screenings, and treatment planning.
-Collaborate with case management, education, and residential teams to ensure holistic care.
Lead small therapeutic groups focused on topics such as emotional regulation, grief, and prevention.
-Maintain contact with families, guardians, and referral agencies to support ongoing success.
-Participate in crisis intervention and consultation as needed.
What You’ll Bring
-Licensure required: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (must maintain licensure).
-2+ years of progressive clinical experience, preferably in a youth or residential treatment setting.
-Strong skills in CBT, trauma-informed care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
-Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
-Must meet Eckerd’s auto insurance and driving requirements.

About the Program
Eckerd Connects’ Boys Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program serves boys ages 13–17 referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. In this 4–6 month rehabilitative program, youth receive individualized academic, behavioral health, and family counseling in a strength-based, non-punitive environment that encourages accountability, healing, and growth.
