GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

This full-time position requiring a LMSW or LPC, provides individual and group therapy; clinical
direction; clinical assessments and providing training to staff on clinical interventions and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum of master’s degree in social work- LMSW or LPC
Other:
• Must have excellent supervisory skills

• Must have experience in working with adults with severe and persistent mental health challenges.
• Ability to work and support with families and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as need to support 24/7operations.

• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and report critical information in a timely manner.
• Ability to manage crises with diplomacy and sound judgement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and database programs.

• Familiarity with CARF regulations preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to assess, formulate and implement clinical assessments, treatment plans and quarterly reports.
• Ability to successfully complete all needed trainings and maintain credentials required
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides individual and group therapy, including serving walk-ins and occasional home visits, to the clients of Gesher, using evidence-based practices.
• Direct supervision of Interns.
• Coordinate case consultations with other therapist, Director of Residential Services, external case managers and other stakeholders including create, review, implement and teach clinical policies and procedures.
• Assists with IPOS development, psychosocial assessments, outcome tracking, DLA-20 administration and other tools.
• Completes client notes and other clinical documentation in databases
• Access and execute necessary ongoing clinical training to appropriate staff members.
• Supports residential team and Gesher clients by providing direction for clinical processes, standards and case notes.
• Work with colleagues in program development
• Assists in creation, review, and teaching of clinical policies and procedures.
• Must abide by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, Adult Protection Code, Mental Health Code, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) guidelines and standards.
• Speak as a representative of Gesher and industry expert at local events and conferences.
• Assists maintenance of clinical files and records in accordance with state and county standards and regulations
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and in-service training seminars as required and assigned
• Perform any additional duties as assigned

  • This position involves providing clinical therapy to a very manageable caseload allowing ample time to provide supports that are individualized and client centered.
