Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis (16-24 hours per week), with the potential to transition to a full-time role. This position is ideal for a master’s-level clinician who is eligible for supervision by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Missouri and is passionate about gaining hands-on experience in trauma-focused therapy. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training in Mending Trauma’s unique approach to trauma recovery and Neurofeedback, equipping them with specialized skills to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, couple, or family therapy under the supervision of a Missouri-credentialed LMFT, focusing on trauma recovery.
Learn and apply Mending Trauma’s evidence-based trauma treatment protocols.
Participate in Neurofeedback training and assist in administering sessions to clients.
Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in compliance with Missouri regulations.
Collaborate with the Mending Trauma team to develop treatment plans and ensure holistic client care.
Attend supervision sessions and training workshops to enhance clinical skills and meet Missouri LMFT licensure requirements.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field that meets Missouri requirements for supervision by an LMFT with supervisory credentials.
Eligibility for registration as a Supervised Marital and Family Therapist (S-MFT) or Provisionally Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (PLMFT) in Missouri.
Strong interest in trauma recovery and a commitment to learning Mending Trauma’s specialized approach.
Enthusiasm for training in and applying Neurofeedback as part of therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and client-centered approach.
Ability to work a flexible schedule between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Prior clinical experience is a plus but not required; we value a willingness to learn and grow.
What We Offer

Supervision: Work under the guidance of an experienced LMFT supervisor to accumulate hours toward Missouri LMFT licensure (up to 3,000 hours required over a minimum of 24 months).
