Counseling Psychology
Job ID: 3600
New Connections Counseling Center is looking for a licensed therapist in Maryland to join our team of 7 clinicians. We are a feminist-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming group practice in Baltimore’s Hampden neighborhood, and we take our work seriously while maintaining a culture where humor, authenticity, and mutual support are the norm.
We believe therapists do their best clinical work when they feel valued and supported. That means we invest in your growth, match you with the clients and populations you’re most passionate about, and handle the business side so you can focus on what you do best.
Predictable pay: We pay you a flat session rate regardless of whether the client or insurer pays us.
Full practice support: We cover you under our liability policy, provide HIPAA-compliant tools, and handle all billing and admin.
Growth built in: We match you with your preferred populations and offer free clinical supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians.
Real community: A warm, collaborative office where people actually knock on each other’s doors to consult, vent, or just connect.
Flexible scheduling: Balance of in-office and telehealth sessions. Some evening or weekend availability is required.
Fast ramp-up: Our most recent hire completed 27 intakes in the first three months. We invest in getting you to a full caseload quickly.
We’re especially interested in therapists with experience or training in:
- Trauma-informed modalities (EMDR, Brainspotting, TF-CBT, Somatic Experiencing)
- Neurodivergence (ADHD and/or Autism spectrum)
- OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Adolescent therapy
- Couples therapy (if you don’t have this experience, we will support you in your training)
You don’t need to check every box. If you bring depth in one or two of these areas and genuine enthusiasm, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry a caseload of individual clients and couples (minimum 10 sessions per week, with steady referrals to help you build)
- Provide therapy primarily in-person at our Hampden office, with telehealth flexibility
- Participate in peer consultation and team case discussions
- Maintain timely, thorough clinical documentation
- Pursue continuing education aligned with your clinical interests
- Opportunities to grow your professional visibility through the practice’s blog, social media, or community networking
All employees receive:
- Flat pay per session, including sessions cancelled within our 24-hour policy
- FICA contributions (Social Security and Medicare)
- Professional liability insurance coverage
- Expert supervisors available for consultation on your cases
- Free clinical supervision for associate-level licensees
- A steady stream of prescreened clients, matched to your clinical interests
- Furnished office space and all practice management tools
Full-time employees also receive:
- Health and dental insurance
- Health Savings Account (HSA)
- Retirement plan with employer match
