Child & Adolescent Psychiatry – North Carolina
Start: June 1, 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled Inpatient
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, mostly 7 on / 7 off
Call: Portion of the week during rotation

Practice Details:
• Inpatient setting
• 24-bed unit (flex between pediatric and adolescent census)
• Average 18 patients per shift
• 1–3 admits per day
• On-call provider handles consults and evaluations
• Other providers manage follow-ups and unit coverage
• Most providers complete work within 8 hours
• Strong interdisciplinary support including techs, nurses, social workers, and AP staff for H&P
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart

Locums are typically assigned to the patient population they are most comfortable with (pediatric or adolescent), with internal physicians flexing accordingly.

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Active North Carolina license required
• North Carolina DEA required

Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days (ASAP need)
