Pathway Humanity is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in providing high-quality medical and nursing care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. The successful candidate will perform medical screenings, administer medication, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure client health and safety during their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, ensuring accurate dosage and documentation.
Monitor, record, and report clients' vital signs and general physical condition.
Conduct initial medical screenings and assist with medical intake procedures.
Assist in managing medical emergencies and provide basic first aid and CPR when necessary.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers, to integrate medical care into the treatment plan.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential client medical records.
Educate clients on health management, medication adherence, and wellness.
Qualifications
Required:
Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health.
Knowledge of medication administration and monitoring protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
Preferred:
Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Training in basic life support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
