PSYCHIATRIST NEEDED - On Site Medical Director - North Carolina

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist to serve as the on-site Medical Director in a child and adolescent behavioral health setting. This role offers the perfect balance of leadership, clinical oversight, and meaningful patient impact.

Position Highlights
Up to 30 hours/week
Majority administrative responsibilities
On-call required with additional stipend
Oversee 40-patient census with capacity up to 60 beds
Approximately 4 admissions/discharges per week
EMR: Echo Vantage
Responsibilities
Lead complex clinical and staffing discussions
Provide medication approvals and psychiatric oversight
Authorize transfers to the ED when needed
Collaborate closely with NPs and step in clinically when necessary
Patient Population

Ages 10–17 with diagnoses including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder
PTSD
ADHD
ODD
IDD
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder
Other behavioral and emotional disorders
Qualifications
Board Certified in General Psychiatry
Child & Adolescent experience required
Fellowship not required
