Job description

Schedule & Coverage Needs:
- Two weekends per month, plus the following Monday and Tuesday OR
Full-time weekday coverage in addition to weekend coverage

Shift Details:
- Monday & Tuesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM onsite
- Night call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 AM the following morning

Weekend Coverage:
- Rounding begins at 8:00 AM and typically lasts approximately 6 hours
- On-call coverage after rounds until 8:00 AM the following day
- 24-hour coverage responsibility during weekend assignments

Call Responsibilities:
- Night call coverage on Mondays and Tuesdays
- Weekend call coverage following daily rounds
- Expected to place admission orders for accepted patients arriving during call shifts

Patient Volume: Average daily census: 6-12 patients

Position Requirements:
- Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP)
- Providers who are Board Certified in General Psychiatry and have completed a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship will also be considered

Preferred Experience & Skills
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, treatment modalities, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy
- Experience evaluating and treating children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders
- Expertise in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications for pediatric and adolescent populations
- Understanding of adolescent development and family systems
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience working closely with parents and guardians throughout treatment
