PsyD Psychologist - Workers' Comp Evaluations & Treatment (Part-Time / Flexible Hours)

Job description

Position: Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) – Workers' Compensation Specialist
Status: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)
Format: Hybrid (Telehealth & In-Person)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and efficient Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) to manage a dedicated 20-hour workweek focused on workers' compensation cases. This role bridges the gap between structured clinical documentation and targeted therapeutic intervention. You will guide injured workers through the psychological complexities of workplace injuries, focusing on functional restoration and a safe return to work.
Our workflow splits your time between a modern, supportive in-person clinic environment and remote telehealth delivery, providing excellent clinical variety and scheduling flexibility.
Core Responsibilities
• Initial Psychological Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for newly referred workers' compensation patients to determine diagnostic clarity, evaluate the psychological impact of physical injuries, and identify barriers to recovery.
• CBT-Focused Treatment: Deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) aimed at treating adjustment disorders, acute stress, post-traumatic stress, and chronic pain management resulting from workplace incidents.
• Evidence-Based Reporting: Formulate clear, objective, and timely initial evaluation reports and progress notes detailing functional goals, objective clinical findings, and explicit CBT treatment plans in accordance with workers' compensation guidelines.
• Hybrid Care Delivery: Conduct therapy and follow-up sessions via our secure, integrated telehealth platform, while alternating for dedicated in-person evaluation days at our physical location.
The Office Environment & Patient Population
Our physical practice is a modern, multidisciplinary outpatient facility specifically optimized for rehabilitation and occupational wellness. Unlike high-crisis psychiatric settings, our environment mirrors a professional executive medical suite—designed to feel calming, highly organized, and collaborative. You will work alongside dedicated case managers and administrative staff who handle all insurance authorizations, scheduling, and billing logistics so you can focus entirely on clinical care.
Our patient population consists entirely of adult workers navigating the aftermath of physical or psychological workplace injuries. These individuals are highly motivated to regain their baseline functioning and return to their careers. Common presentations include localized trauma, chronic pain adjustments, and situational anxiety or depression related to unexpected employment disruptions.

  • • Manageable Caseload: Maintain a highly controlled, low-burnout pace of clients and assessments tailored strictly to your 20-hour limit.
  • • Streamlined Administration: Focus entirely on workers' comp evaluations and care while our intake team handles all authorizations and billing.
  • • Flexible Scheduling: Set your own 20 hours across the week to easily accommodate a private practice, teaching schedule, or personal life.
