Location: Hiring in Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Sacramento, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Stanislaus, San Joaquin counties
Job Type: PART-TIME (10 hours - 25+ hours per week)
Schedule: Monday to Sunday. Afternoon and evening availability required. Preference is given to candidates with availability 2:00-8:00 pm
Work Setting: In-home

You’ll support children in developing communication, problem-solving, and social skills. We’re hiring entry-level candidates as well as certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are ready to grow their careers.

What You’ll Do
As a Behavior Technician at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours. We tailor your caseload to fit your availability and match you with age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.

Your responsibilities include:

Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Competitive pay: $21–$25/hour, based on experience. Pay increase after you get your RBT certification!

All new behavior technicians are required to get RBT certified within 90 days. For that, we provide 40 hours of paid training to prepare you for the RBT exam & cover the costs of your RBT exam if you pass on your first try.

Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA.
High school diploma
Reliable transportation
