Addiction Psychiatry

Job ID: MHMD1

Join a Cutting-Edge Psychiatry Practice — Do More Than Prescribe (PMHNP, West LA)

Job description

The Role
We're looking for a licensed PMHNP to evaluate and treat our patients — many referred from outpatient programs — across mood, anxiety, trauma, and co-occurring substance use disorders. You'll carry your own panel with full team support and the option to grow into interventional care.

What You'll Do

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans
Manage medications with regular follow-up — weekly for mental health patients, bi-weekly for substance use
Coordinate with our outpatient-program partners and their clinical teams
Support interventional care (TMS, Spravato) as needed — with training provided
Document in our EHR (Charm) with the support of our clinical staff
Work alongside our Medical Director, NP team, and support staff

What We're Looking For

Active California PMHNP licensure and national board certification (ANCC PMHNP-BC)
Current DEA registration (or eligibility)
Experience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or addiction medicine preferred
Comfort with medication management for co-occurring mental health and substance use
Interest in interventional psychiatry (TMS/Spravato) a plus — we'll train
Warm, patient-first communicator who works well on a collaborative team
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time or part-time, on-site in West Los Angeles
Compensation: [insert range]
Benefits: [insert — e.g., health, PTO, CME allowance, malpractice coverage]

MindHealthMD is an equal opportunity employer.

  • Advanced practice, real support — A board-certified psychiatry & addiction-medicine Medical Director, an experienced NP team, and full support staff who handle intake, scheduling, prior authorizations, and medication coordination — so you practice at the top of your license.
  • Interventional psychiatry — Work with TMS, Spravato (esketamine), and Brain Mapping/qEEG, not just prescriptions — real tools for treatment-resistant depression, with the training and team to deliver them well.
  • Your panel, no admin grind — Consents, verifications, prior authorizations, pharmacy coordination, and scheduling are owned by our team. You see patients; we handle the paperwork.
